there's no place like home

Sometimes I think about what it would be like if I could walk down the hall without tripping over someone's shoes. Or dolls. Or books. I think about how quiet it would be, how peaceful. But if it was quiet, I wouldn't hear anyone playing Magical Kingdom. And if there were no shoes in the hall, there wouldn't be any tiny feet to put in them, no loving arms to hold a baby doll, and not any giggles at the funny part of the book. Sometimes I think about if there were no dishes to do, no laundry to fold, no crumbs to sweep up. But that makes me sad, because dishes, crumbs, and laundry mean warm bodies and full tummies.
Sometimes your life doesn't turn out how you planned. Home might be different than you thought it would be. Maybe it's better. Maybe what you have now is more than you dared to dream. I guess you have to believe that there are golden roads that will lead you to your dreams. You have to be confident in your smarts, heart, and courage. You have to believe that there really is no place like home.

Heeellllllooooooo out there!

I know you guys are out there! You are soo quiet! Only one comment in the whole history of LIAA....hello! Blogs are for communication, an that's a two way street people! At the bottom of each post is a little icon, and when you click on it, you can leave me a comment...say hi, say what you think about the new picture, tell me what's on your mind, whatever. But speak to me! I want to hear from you! (YES YOU!)

Look at me very closely....

Can you notice what's new about me? If you look very closely, you will see my two new teeth! That's right! The day I turned 5 months old I popped out 2 beautiful new chompers! It seems like only yesterday I came home from the hospital, and now look at me.... I am growing up so very fast!

Well, it's spring break this week, and the girls are having fun! Or mostly, Weslie has been having fun being able to boss Chayse around all day. There has been many tears, many fights, but many smiles, too. Weslie and Chayse have a special friendship, and they are at an age now where they really have fun playing together. If Weslie gets in trouble, Chayse is the first one to stick up for her. Even if she is getting in trouble for doing something to Chayse! If Weslie is ever sent to bed early, little Chaysie will go climb into bed too. She just doesn't like to be without her big sister!
I am glad they are having so much fun together! Me, on the other hand, I am counting the minutes until they go back to school!

love letter to Chayse

I love that your cheeks are still chubby. I love how the corners of your eyes crinkle when you smile. I love the way your forehead feels when I kiss it. I love the scent of your hair. I love how you say "fimming" instead of "swimming". I love the sound of your laugh. (everyone does!)
I have always been proud of being indapendent. I never thought I would find the meaning of my life in other people. But now, 3 girls define me. And that is beautiful.
You are beautiful.
Love Always....

Sleeping Beauty

I absolutely love this picture of Brooklyn. She sleeps next to me every night, and for some reason, she sleeps best when I am holding her hand. I don't mind. I couldn't feel closer to her.

Even babies need their beauty sleep. Close the blinds, Mommy.
